YOGA
Yoga is NOT a religion or exercise in flexibility...
The word “yoga” is derived from the Sanskrit word for unity.
Yoga is the practice of integrating your body with your mind and spirit. It is the practice of noticing who and what you really are, beyond your thoughts, emotions and sensations, and without judgment. Yoga is essentially a mindfulness practice that helps people examine themselves more deeply and learn to relax with what is. It is a tool that can facilitate greater peace, awareness, insight, happiness and well being.
Research supports that yoga can:
-
Decrease stress
-
Improve productivity
-
Relieve anxiety
-
Reduce inflammation in the body
-
Improve heart health
-
Improve quality of life
-
Fight depression
-
Reduce chronic pain
-
Promote sleep quality
-
Improve flexibility and balance
-
Improve breathing
-
Relieve migraines
-
Promote healthy eating habits
-
Increase strength
-
And much more . . .

Amrit Yoga
Experience the Posture of Consciousness that is the Amrit Yoga, as well as postures and meditation techniques from other yoga traditions as well. The Amrit method is a holistic style of yoga that combines tenets from hatha and raja yoga into a comprehensive system using asanas (postures), pranayams (breathing techniques), mantra (tuning through sound), and meditation to facilitate wellness of the mind, body, and spirit.
This style of yoga emphasizes three key points: core strength, deep relaxation, and the ability to apply yoga techniques in your daily interactions. Improve your strength, flexibility, balance and focus while increasing your capacity for peace and relaxation.

My Yoga Background
I have practiced yoga, pranayama (breathwork), and meditation since 2000 and have been a Certified Amrit Yoga instructor since 2007. Over the years, I have developed a love for teaching and healing; I have a great respect for all my students and clients.
During my private sessions and consultations, I am available to assist students in yoga postures, but I also respect the boundaries and needs of those who prefer a more independent practice. I teach beginner and intermediate yoga and meditation techniques.
I have also practiced other forms of yoga and can incorporate postures from other styles into your sessions at your request.
